We have the last general PTA meeting of the 2020-2021 school year next week. Tuesday, April 6th we will have an expert join our meeting to discuss Title IX. Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 ​is a Federal civil rights law that prohibits discrimination and harassment on the basis of sex in all education programs and activities. Title IX works to ensure all PPS students are safe at school by reducing barriers and protecting students from environments that interfere with safely accessing educational programs or activities. Behaviors or incidents that create an intimidating, offensive or hostile educational climate for another PPS student are also prohibited.

The meeting will be held from 6:30pm – 8:00pm via Zoom. The first thirty minutes will be reserved for PTA business. The Title IX presentation and discussion is scheduled for 7:00pm – 8:00pm.
