Can you believe we went from this……

To THIS?!?

Welcome to Spring and the upcoming challenge and hopeful joy of our kids finally getting to return to school. It probably won’t be perfect, but I can tell you that my guy is ready and I am too! So, thanks to everyone who is working so hard to figure out how to make it happen!

We had our last PTA Meeting of the year on Tuesday – and while lightly attended – had a Fabulous presentation from the Title IX Team at PPS. I listened, I learned and I enjoyed very much. On the business end, I wanted to share that we had four major things on the agenda at this meeting.

First….MEMBERSHIP. Welcoming in the new Board Members, including a Vice President, Secretary, and a JDLE Representative as well – and all of them are NEW to MTMS PTA, talk about a WIN. Next year, fingers crossed we have some opportunities to get together safely, we will be focussed on building our core membership to engage more broadly across the MTMS community as well as with the Teachers, Staff and Administration.

Second…We have upcoming TEACHER AND STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK. This is set for May 3rd-7th and we are cooking up some plans to appreciate the wonderful people who support our wonderful kiddos all school year long.

Third….and final. We had a brief discussion about 8th Grade Promotion and how the PTA can help support to make a difficult year fell special for those headed to High School next year. If anyone has an inspired idea that they want to introduce, and help implement, we are all ears. Early planning stages over here – so bring the enthusiasm!
