MTMS – Did you know that there are TWO DIFFERENT “First Day of Spring”s? The more commonly referred to is the astronomical first day of the season and falls near the end of March (March 20th, to be precise and it is associated with the vernal equinox). The other “First Day of Spring” is known as the meteorological spring falls on the 1st of March – which was Sunday. (This is based on average temperatures and Gregorian Calendars). So, Happy Meteorological First Day of Spring, MTMS! I hope you found yourself outside at least once this weekend and maybe even found yourself surprised as you looked around at 6pm and noticed that it wasn’t pitch dark out there.
